As a church school, daily worship is an important part of our daily lives. All worship is inclusive. We come together for whole school worship three times per week and we have class worship twice per week. In each classroom we have designated worship areas which children are invited to use if they would like a moment to reflect or pray.

Staff have agreed and developed a common definition of spirituality and what this means for the children at Stoke Minster, our definition of spiritual growth is…

Releasing God-given potential through providing opportunities for personal growth, development of values and understanding themselves and their place in the world.

Again returning back to our theologically rooted vision we agreed Spirituality for Stoke Minster could be summarised in the following diagram.

Our spirituality triangle is used throughout the curriculum, during worships and in restorative conversations to guide the children’s thinking. Below is an example of how our spiritual development triangle may be used to direct discussion. This one is based upon Nelson Mandela.
